Your daily SELAH moment

Be still. He is here.

There is no perfect way to arrive. Bring your whole heart.

Quiet your mind. Prepare your heart.

Pause in his presence.

Let your shoulders soften. Set aside the next thing on your list for a moment. You do not need to earn this time with God.

“Be still, and know that I am God.”
Psalm 46:10 · WEB · excerpt

Stillness is not the absence of responsibility. It is the choice to remember who holds us while we carry it. Psalm 46 speaks into a world of upheaval, yet its invitation is not to work harder at feeling safe. It is to be still and recognize God.

You may arrive at this moment with an unfinished task, a difficult conversation, or a future you cannot predict. None of that disqualifies you from God’s presence. You do not need a perfectly quiet mind to pray. Begin with an honest heart.

Let today’s stillness become trust in motion. As you return to ordinary life, make room for a small pause before you react. Ask God for patience, and let his nearness shape your next step.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
